Clarkson’s Farm Star Kaleb Cooper Earns 50p Per Hour Through Farming

Kaleb Cooper came to prominence in the popular Amazon Prime show ‘Clarkson’s Farm’. The farm hand recently revealed that he only pays himself 50p despite becoming quite the celebrity.

The 24-year-old father is set to feature in ‘Clarkson Farm’ series two in early 2023 and admitted that despite his newfound stardom he broke down the costs that come with working in the farming industry.

Featuring on Ben and Georgie Ainslie’s Performance People podcast he said: “When I’m working for myself, when I’m feeding my calves in the morning – I bought eight calves, it’s like a little bit of a new business idea that I’m doing, buying calves in and then feed them on milk, which costs me about £200 a calf, then selling them at nine months.”

He continued”trying to get a profit – see if it will work. I worked it out the other day, do you know how much my hourly rate is, how much I pay myself? 50p an hour.”

One thing that is sure to help Kaleb to make ends meet is his new book, which he released last year. Farm hand Kaleb, one of the key components of the hit Amazon Prime TV show, has written a book The World According To Kaleb.

The WH Smith website blurb about the book read: “Introducing Clarkson’s Farm favourite Kaleb Cooper’s worldly wisdom on life’s big issues: sheep (‘stupid’), Jeremy Clarkson (‘f***ing idiot’), goats (‘they’re a proper good clear-up animal, they eat everything – no wonder they taste horrible’), New York (‘if it’s like London, where there are no tractors, that’s no good’) and more.

In The World According to Kaleb, he shares his thoughts on topics such as capital cities, famous people, hairstyles and why farming is the best job in the world.

Earlier this month, Grand Tour presenter Jeremy revealed that they were filming season three with fans loving the second series of Clarkson’s Farm which is the streaming channel’s most-watched show in the UK.

In the second series, we saw all our favourite people return, such as Farm manager Kaleb Cooper, land agent Charlie Ireland (Cheerful Charlie) and stone wall builder Gerald Cooper.
