Fans who have followed the Owen family since their early days on Channel 5’s Our Yorkshire Farm will be happy to know that there is more Owen content than ever – even over two Channels! Reuben Owen’s show is set to go up against the family’s new Channel 4 show in some friendly competition tonight.
It’s a big night for fans of the Yorkshire Dales’ most beloved farming family, as Reuben Owen and his clan take over our screens with not one, but two television shows. Kicking off on Channel 5 this evening, Reuben: Life in the Dales returns for its second series, followed by Our Farm Next Door at 9pm on More4 — offering double the dose of Owen family charm.
Reuben Owen, son of the well-known Owen farming family, is now in his third year of business and continues to prove that hard work, grit, and good humour are alive and well in the Dales. The new series promises a closer look at Reuben’s ventures as he tackles the daily challenges of running his own enterprise.
Joining Reuben in this series are his brothers Sid and Miles, both pitching in to help where needed, alongside a cast of familiar and new faces. Among them is Reuben’s girlfriend, Jessica, who is set to make her on-screen debut, as well as friend Tommy and a few more of Reuben’s close mates. Together, they form a tight-knit team facing the ups and downs of rural life with heart and determination.
With Reuben: Life in the Dales offering a behind-the-scenes glimpse into his entrepreneurial journey, and Our Farm Next Door continuing the wider family story, viewers are in for a wholesome and heartwarming evening of countryside life. It’s a perfect opportunity for Yorkshire folk — and fans beyond — to celebrate the values of community, resilience, and a deep love for the land.

The new series continues to follow the Owen family – Amanda, Clive, and their nine children – who live on Ravenseat Farm in the Yorkshire Dales from 9pm tonight. They’ve purchased the neighbouring property, known as Anty John’s, and are lovingly restoring the once-dilapidated farmhouse into a new family home. Viewers get to follow the highs and lows of their incredible journey.
So, grab a brew and settle in. It’s set to be a proper Yorkshire evening with the Owens.
