Yorkshire is a hot bed for Hollywood in recent years, with many coming to use its beautiful locations for new films and tv shows. And, the latest spot is a big one, former James Bond and, of course, Mamma Mia star Pierce Brosnan was spotted in a popular Harrogate bar last night,
Brosnan, who was the fifth James Bond, was spotted out for a drink at The Fat Badger on Cold Bath Road this week. Part of the White Hart Hotel, the 007 star could be seen enjoying a cheeky pint at the bar.
Known for such classic Bond films as Golden Eye and The World Is Not Enough, the Irish actor played Bond four times also featuring in a range of big films such as Mrs Doubtfire and Law of Attraction.
The snap was posted to the Twitter account ‘Snape Plissken’ who wrote: “Pierce Brosnan in the local boozer in Harrogate”.
It’s a shame he didn’t visit for a Sunday Roast, as the popular Harrogate pub was named one of the best places for one earlier this year. He could have enjoyed a few Yorkie puds, and roasties to help wash his pint down.
It seems that Harrogate wasn’t the old place he was spotted in Yorkshire as the 70-year-old actor was also seen in Leeds with Paul Dunphy posting: “Just learned that Pierce Brosnan has been INSIDE OUR STUDIO BUILDING in Leeds today and I haven’t successfully manufactured an opportunity to meet him.”
Last year, X-Men’s Wolverine, played by Hugh Jackman who has been spotted in Yorkshire’s Bronte Country. Jackman was caught on a surprised resident Jenny Clarke’s doorbell camera in Silsden enjoying a picturesque canal-side walk.
Imagine checking your doorbell footage and spotting the Greatest Showman star wandering past – incredible. If I was another resident in the village I’d be manically checking my own doorbell footage and becoming gutted when it only shows Phil the Postman doing his daily delivery.
And, as well as being caught on locals door and posting glorious views of Yorkshire, Jackman has visited a range of spots for some grub including Steeton Hall Hotel, where he stayed.
