Two Yorkshire legends feature in Prime Video’s latest hit comedy Deep Cover, which received a 93% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Sheffield’s Sean Bean and Leeds’ Nick Mohammed feature alongside Bryce Dallas-Howard and Orlando Bloom in what’s been dubbed the funniest movie of the year.
Sean Bean needs no introduction, and nowadays neither should Nick Mohammed, who has featured in the hit series Ted Lasso as well as performing around the country and on popular Channel 4 panel show 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown as his hilarious alter ego Mr Swallow.
The new comedy Deep Cover Prime earlier this month, follows a trio of improv actors recruited to infiltrate a criminal gang in London. Dallas-Howard from the Jurassic World series plays an aspiring comedian who is currently teaching improv classes and beginning to question if she’s missed her chance at success when an undercover policeman offers her the role of a lifetime.
The synopsis goes on to say: “Kat, with two of her improv students – Marlon (Orlando Bloom) and Hugh (Nick Mohammed), must infiltrate London’s gangland by impersonating dangerous criminals. The trio quickly find themselves in over their heads.”
Orlando Bloom and Sean Bean are together once again after working on the blockbuster trilogy The Lord of the Rings alongside other big names such as Ian McShane from John Wick, Paddy Considine from House of the Dragon and Sonoya Mizuno also from Maniac, House of the Dragon. Deep Cover is also directed by Tom Kingsley, from Ghosts and Stath Lets Flats.
