Stay At Johnny Vegas’ Drunken Purchase Inspired Glamping Site In The Yorkshire Dales

Glamping is going to be the most popular choice of a staycation this year after a year of lockdowns, and we can see why. Some of the glamping suites we’ve been looking at are nicer than most hotels. An unlikely candidate for creating a glamping site would be TV legend Johnny Vegas, who, after what started as a drunk purchase, created a glamping site Field Of Dreams Glamping in Nidderdale in the Yorkshire Dales.

The four-part Channel 4 series documents Johnny and his assistant Bev’s journey into the world of Glamping has the aim to create the coolest glamping site out of old repurposed vehicles with the help of vintage bus enthusiasts. The programme ‘Johnny Vegas: Carry on Glamping’ starts on Wednesday 5th May at 10pm.

After struggling to find a plot to make this glamping spot, Breaks Fold Farm ended up being the home for Johnny Vegas’ mad and ambitious idea.

Named the ‘Field of Dreams’ Glamping site, it is a unique place to stay in which you can pick from five vintage vehicles to stay in the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The 2-acre site enables each vehicle to benefit from its own private space, with its private bathroom inside a vintage horsebox with unique copperhead showerheads!

So, what five vehicles are there to choose from?
