The Most Spectacular Fireworks Displays Taking Place This Bonfire Night In Yorkshire

The final marker before the arrival of Christmas, Bonfire Night is one of our favourite annual events. The crisp Autumn air, soggy leaves on the ground, the experience of almost snapping your tooth on a delicious toffee apple, the sight of mesmerising sparks in the sky. It’s unbeatable if you ask us. And after a year of cancellations, it’s finally back, with a number of wonderful fireworks displays Yorkshire has to offer.

From large-scale events to hidden gem local displays, we’ve rounded up the best bonfire events to watch out for this year.

The beautiful Sledmere House will host a stunning display this bonfire night, marking the sixth annual display for the estate. Enjoy the event on Saturday 29th October from 4.00pm – 9.00pm.

Promising the ‘best’ display yet, guests can expect spooky tunes and huge fireworks, with a wonderful display set to light up the skies above the stately home.

Halloween costumes are encouraged, and guests can enjoy bonfire-themed food and drinks from the lovely Coach House Café. Find out more and pick up tickets here.

Kicking off at 4pm, guests can expect plenty of entertainment throughout the evening, including face painting, a kid-friendly disco, circus entertainment, fairground rides, and a food court packed full of spooky-themed grub.

The display will take place on the 30th October, and you can book your place here.

Hosting a bonfire weekend this November, Thornton Hall Country Park will put on a mesmerising fireworks display, with music, lights and special FX to accompany.

In their typical family-friendly style, the park will also have plenty of entertainment on the go, too, including a main stage featuring children’s entertainers, street theatre, a fire and spark show, a live band and DJ, and plenty of food and drink, too.

Early bird tickets are on sale now, and you can pick up yours here before the price increases.

4 Driffield Showground, Kelleythorpe, Driffield

Our hometown bonfire is something of a spectacle with a huge fire and brilliant professional firework display. There is always a great choice of food and drinks and a traditional funfair for the little ones to enjoy. As far as fireworks displays in Yorkshire go, this is a great local vibe and there is always plenty of space and parking which takes away from some of the stress of going to a big event. Tickets are £5 and the event kicks off from 5:30 to 8:30. Book your tickets.

5. Don Valley Bowl, Sheffield
