First-Look Images Of ‘All Creatures Great & Small’ Rachel Shenton In New Channel 5 Thriller

Rachel Shenton is in a new Channel 5 thriller, The Rumour, and we are here for it. The five-part series coming this autumn sees her acting alongside Joanne Whalley, Emily Atack, and Samuel Anderson, playing a mother caught up in a storm of suspicion and paranoia.

Shenton’s character, Joanna, is moving to the quiet town of Flinstead with her young son in search of a new start. But struggles to make friends due to the local mothers and cliques in the community, which seem ‘unsettling’.

The synopsis, for Channel 5, says: “When she discovers a chilling rumour about a convicted child killer hiding in plain sight, Joanna seizes the chance to bond with the local mums by sharing it – unknowingly unleashing a wave of paranoia and suspicion.

“As whispers grow louder and tensions rise, Joanna is swept into a dangerous spiral of secrets and blame. With trust eroding and fear spreading like wildfire, she begins to question not only the town’s past but her own instincts. Who can she trust? And what will it cost her to find the truth?”

The new series is based on a novel by Lesley Kara and explores themes of fear, guilt and how quickly things spiral.

There’s no release date yet, but it is set to premiere in August. We don’t know about you guys, but we can’t wait to see Shenton on our tele some more.
