Jodie Whittaker and Surrane Jones are set to appear in a new ITV drama Frauds. First-look images have been released that show the pair in some behind the scenes snaps looking very dramatic indeed.
Fraud is described as a new heist thriller with the pair playing complex duo Bert and Sam, whose intertwined past resurfaces in the setting of Southern Spain after a decade apart, according to ITV’s synopsis.

Sam living a low-key life, until Bert’s release from a Spanish prison for compassionate reasons reignites her ambition for one final, significant score.
Bert tries to lure Sam for one final multi-million pound heist. It sure to be a roller coaster ride with both Whittaker and Jones known for their skilled dramatic roles.

The new ITV drama will be a six-part series and has recently begun filming in Spain. It’ll be directed by Giulia Gandini known for The Split, Shetland and produced by Pat Tookey-Dickson known for Maryland, 1899, and Ghosts. The ITV series, Frauds was created by Suranne Jones and Anne-Marie O’Connor. O’Connor, whose previous works include Maryland on writing duty.
Both actors also have a strong connection to Yorkshire with Jodie hailing from Huddersfield and Surrane playing a huge part in bringing to life a Yorkshire legend in the form of Sally Wainwright’s Gentleman Jack, playing Anne Lister known for her extensive diaries, which detailed her life, including her lesbian relationships, in a coded language. Who also managed the Shibden Hall estate, made significant changes to it in her time there.
Frauds will air on ITV1 and ITVX later this year.
