If you’re looking to take a trip to the coast this summer, then we are sure you’ll want to try some of Britain’s favourite fast food, fish & chips by the coast. There’s no better place to try them than on the coast and Robin Hood’s Bay has one of the best views from a fish & chips shop in the country. And, since the UK is the best for chippies we’d say the world. This charming fish and chip shop, Fish Box on the Yorkshire Coast offers not only delicious traditional fare but also breathtaking sea views. It’s found perched right at the top of the idyllic fishing village Robin Hood’s Bay and is a fan favourite for visitors and locals alike thanks to its incredible views.
The chippy serves you a classic menu of cod, haddock, Whitby scampi and more on the menu. All to be enjoyed whilst looking over the Yorkshire Coastline out to the North Sea. Whether you’re savouring crispy battered fish, golden chips, or other seaside favourites, this spot combines culinary delight with a serene, picturesque setting. Ideal for a family outing, a romantic meal, or simply a relaxing break from the hustle and bustle, this fish and chip shop provides a truly memorable experience.
We ordered an array of cod and haddock from our family as well as a cheeky sausage. Now, I know it’s not traditional for some folk, but I’m an absolute sucker for curry sauce with my chippy tea, washed down with a Dandelion and Burdock.
We found the portions at Robin Hood’s Bay Fish Box to be huge and even a small cod left you full making it great value for money. If you’ve been to the village, you’ll know that hill is hard going so these chips were the perfect reward after climbing back up.
Fish Box in Robin Hood’s Bay is open every day from 11am to around 7pm. And with its varied menu including a range of classic like fish & chips offerings such as fish & chips, Whitby scampi, homemade fish cakes, sausages and pies it’s perfect for families as there is something for everyone.
Sat atop overlooking the fishing village, Fish Box on the Yorkshire Coast and has to be the best chippy for views that exists in the UK. We’d happily visit this spot any season, spring, summer, autumn and winter to take in those dramatic views out to the North Sea. The North Yorkshire village of Robin Hoo’s Bay is a real treat and these fish & chips are the perfect accompaniment to the ultimate day out on the Yorkshire Coast.
