Five restaurants in York and North Yorkshire have gained national recognition at the prestigious AA Hospitality Awards 2024, held at the Grosvenor House in London. The awards celebrate the best chefs, restaurants, and hotels across the UK, recognising excellence in the hospitality industry.
This year, several local establishments were honoured for their culinary achievements, with multiple venues receiving the coveted AA Rosettes for their outstanding food and service. These accolades highlight the region’s commitment to consistently delivering high-quality dining experiences.

Award-Winning Restaurants in North Yorkshire

Among the standout winners, The Angel at Hetton in Skipton was awarded the prestigious 5 AA Rosettes, marking it as one of the top dining experiences in the country.
Several other restaurants were awarded 3 AA Rosettes for their exceptional cuisine. The Old Deanery in Ripon impressed with its commitment to quality, while Pignut in Helmsley continued to showcase creative, skillfully prepared dishes. Chartwell Restaurant in Aldwark also earned praise for its innovative menu, and Skosh in York demonstrated a flair for contemporary, high-quality cooking.

Accommodation Awards
In addition to the restaurant accolades, Mallard Grange in Ripon was named AA B&B of the Year, celebrating its excellence in hospitality and accommodation services.
