The nights are getting lighter, spring is on the horizon and the beer gardens are in sight, meaning one thing: festivals and frivolous drinking. Leeds is hosting the largest gin and rum Festival this summer, which promises to be party of the year. And, what a year it has been – if all goes well COVID restrictions will have been lifted meaning there really is something to celebrate this year.
Whether you’re looking for a day out with the gals, lads or grandma, the event will be a unique experience and a chance to try as many of the best gins and rums your body can handle.
The festival aims to celebrate the best gins and rums from around the world, and you’ll get to discover a new range of hand-selected beverages – which will all be available for your tasting pleasure at Leeds Town Hall.
The event will take place over two days, on the 2nd & 3rd July and is exactly what summer is made for, getting out the house for the weekend and into the glorious sunshine, sunglasses on, skin red from lack of sunscreen and a lovely glass of gin or rum in hand. Mmmm.
Tickets cost just £16.62 and include two free 50ml miniature spirit bottles worth £10 to take home with you. Guests will also receive a Gin & Rum Festival Copa glass worth £5, and a stainless-steel straw and glass bag to use on the day.
Every guest will receive a gin and rum guide, unlimited complimentary tonics and mixers, talks and masterclasses, free samples and music from an award-winning resident DJ, as well as some of the UK’s finest live entertainment. Sounds like a plan to me!
