As we head towards Christmas 2022 we can start to get excited for twinkling lights this winter, you can bet your arse we’re getting bloody well excited. Especially with the announcements that the region is set to glow with twinkling lights this Christmas, thanks to the return of Yorkshire Wildlife Park’s Winter Illuminations.
Winter Illuminations at Yorkshire Wildlife Park 2022
Launching again this Christmas on the 18th and 19th of November, guests will be invited to adventure through a trail of stunning giant lanterns, including a number of beautiful, glowing wildlife-shaped sculptures, all tucked away within the trail providing a festive feel to the popular Yorkshire Wildlife Park with winter illuminations.
Bringing four enchanting worlds to the event, kids and grown-ups alike will be able to explore the Yorkshire Wildlife Par Winter Illuminations which is home to over 2,400 metres of illuminated trails filled with giant awe-inspiring hand-crafted lanterns. Worlds such as ‘Under The Sea’, the ‘Animal Kingdom’, ‘Fantasy Land’ and ‘World of Fairytales’ are all crying out to be explored.
Not only do you get to explore the park at night, but also get a chance to see what the animals get up to when the sun goes down. Will you catch a glimpse of the big cats prowling around? Or, maybe
Children and adults will be absorbed in a kaleidoscope of colour amongst the magical sculptures, and tunnels of light, with delicious festive food and drink and more, making our Winter Illuminations a family experience to remember.
There tends to be a few rides at the end of the trail, so the kiddies can enjoy a little bit of funfair fun in the popular wildlife park.
There is also a range of kiosks throughout the trail selling food and drink, but you can also take a picnic depending on what you preder.

Last year, the event took place throughout to January, so fans can likely expect a similar timeframe for this year’s Winter Illuminations.
