Step inside and you are greeted with a quaint spot that’s simply decorated but has a cool vibe that is the perfect backdrop to enjoy these tasty pies. You could easily drive by this unsuspecting spot, but we implore you to visit, we know you won’t be disappointed.
This cosy little spot serves up such classics as beef and ale, chicken and ham, cheese and onion and spinach and cheese all sitting on top of creamy mash and coated in a boatful of gravy. We tried the 14-hour braised beef and ale and the Lancashire cheese and onion both of which were absolutely divine. Each mouthful had us craving the next.
The portions were generous and the pies crispy, with a light pastry and were packed full of filling. The team have definitely perfected their all-butter recipe over the years resulting in the perfect Northern pies.
The team behind the pies have won tons of awards and has grown from humble beginnings. From a home kitchen just a few years ago visiting farmers’ markets to a range of cafes winning multiple awards and being famous across the country.
