If, like me, you’ve been missing your sausage roll and slice of pepperoni pizza since lockdown began, you can finally rejoice at the fact that Gregg’s is set to re-open it’s doors after one month with the shutters down.
Opening a limited number of stores, the much-loved bakery will be trialling a gradual re-opening, with limited staff and new social distancing measures introduced.
Speaking to The Sun, a representative for Gregg’s said: “We want to play our part in getting the nation back up and running again so we are planning to conduct a limited trial with volunteers to explore how we can reopen our shops with new measures in place that keep our colleagues and customers as safe as we can when we re-open at scale.”
While the news is more than welcome at this point of lockdown, it’s currently unconfirmed which stores will be part of the re-opening, and whether the service will be available again on Just Eat. Here’s hoping Yorkshire gets a slice of the action!
