There ain’t nothing better than growing up in Yorkshire. You have the countryside on your doorstep no matter where you live, the folk are always friendly and ready to chat, and we have the best tea brand in the world.
It seems that growing up in this beautiful place has given us all similar things that we have come across over the years. We had a look on Twitter to see what binds us Yorkshire folk and the results are brilliant. It’s so great to see that we all seem to have the same things happen to us.
Whether it is someone repeating ‘nooooo’ back to us during a conversation to dad telling ya to ‘put big light on’, growing up Yorkshire is the best gift.

It’s almost become a full stop, and we don’t plan on stopping.

If you’re about to have a conversation with a Yorkshire person, expect it to be kept short and sweet. We don’t like to mince our words.

There is a lot saying you live near a certain city as no one has heard of some of our towns. And, some you can’t even say.

Everyone has heard the story behind the house in the middle of the M62, whether it’s the myth, or the real story is up for debate.

Take your coat of before you get in the house. Why? ‘cos you won’t feel the benefit’ – makes perfect sense. We know.

Everyone has a family member – or knows someone that has been darn the pits ready to let you know how easy we have it now. And, we aren’t arguing, ba it looked like hard graft.
