‘Happy Valley’ Star Siobhan Finneran Set To Lead New Netflix Thriller

Happy Valley fans will be excited to see Siobhan Finneran take the lead in a new Netflix drama alongside Asa Butterfield from Sex Education. The pair are set to appear in the new psychological thriller Out of the Dust.

The Netflix series follows wife and mother Rosie who lives her life in a conservative Christian sect – when her life is changed after she crosses paths with escaped convict Sam, leading her down a dangerous road of emancipation and sexual awakening.

Butterfield will play the role of Adam, and Finneran Mrs Phillips. The pair are joined by Three Girls‘ Molly Windsor as Rosie, Hawkeye’s Fra Fee as Sam and Doctor Who’s Christopher Eccleston as Mr Phillips.

The Netflix’s synopsis for the six-part show reads: “Rosie lives with her husband Adam and daughter in a cloistered Christian community. The fateful arrival of escaped prisoner Sam into her life, reveals the reality and restraints of her world; perhaps this hidden religious community doesn’t have her best interests at heart.

“And, as the cracks begin to appear in her marriage, Sam presents as her saviour. But with his dark criminal past, where does the greatest danger lie – with the cult or with Sam?”

The Netflix psychological thriller Out of the Dust production commences this month. It’s not sure when the series will hit the Netflix streaming platform, but we’ll keep our ear to the ground.
