ITV thriller After the Flood is set to air tonight starring Happy Valley star Sophie Rundle and has the actor playing a police officer once again. The last time she did so, it didn’t end well for her after her character was run over by a Tommy Lee Royce in his van.
Rundle is back and this time the 35-year-old is set to play a dogged detective PC Joanna Marshall, who is set to investigate the mysterious appearance of a dead body in the aftermath of a devastating flood. The six-part drama set in Yorkshire town is also being billed as a ‘climate change’ mystery.
Also starring Phillip Glenister and Lorraine Ashbourne, the story revolves around the discovery of a man found dead in an underground car park, police assume he became trapped as the water rose, but PC Joanna Marshall (Sophie Rundle) has other ideas and becomes obsessed with discovering the truth.
