We are still reeling from the final episode of Channel 5’s All Creatures Great and Small that took the audience on a roller coaster of emotions with Helen and Mrs Hall’s storylines being particularly stirring this series. But, can we expect a series 5 of this hit show?
All Creatures featuring James Herriot and the rest of the gang, based on the novels by Alf Wight has fast become an autumn staple to viewers of Channel 5. And, if there was to be a series five we’d hopefully expect it to be on the same time next year. Let’s not get to wistful though as there is still a Christmas special to come, so there is that to look forward to.

Filmed in and around Grassington, the remake of the popular 1970s show has proven a massive hit with the nation. Series 4 also saw the introduction of new character trainee vet, Richard Carmody. The young actor added comedic moments to the show that could have otherwise been missed the the absence of Tristan Farnon who went to serve in the Royal Veterinary Corps in the Christmas special last year.

In the fifth series, we can expect more from Helen and James as they face new challenges that threaten their relationship such as James helping with the war efforts, and the awaiting the newborn child.
Channel 5 has yet to confirm whether All Creatures will return with a fifth season. Hopefully, we will hear something in the new year. Ideally with the addition of Tristan Farnan back in the mix with the rest of the gang (however unlikely we feel that will be). If series 5 is confirmed it will begin filming early next year.
All your favourite characters will once again be getting up to more veterinarian action with farmyard animals in December for Christmas. The fictional town of Darrowby will once again be getting a festive makeover – so we’ve got our eyes set on that for now.
Yorkshire has been a popular choice for filmmakers over the last few years with the likes of Netflix miniseries ‘Bodies.’ The shooting destination is well-favored by historical productions. ‘The Crown,’ and Peaky Blinders,’ filmed in the region.
