Jon Richardson and Lucy Beaumont Announce Divorce After 9 Years Of Marriage

Hull comedian Lucy Beaumont and Jon Richardson have announced they will be divorcing after nine years of marriage.

The funny couple found fame both as a duo and in their separate careers, co-starring in their own show on Dave, Meet The Richardsons. The pair have also appeared on the highly popular Gogglebox on Channel 4, and their most recent show Odd Couples.

Separately, Beaumont has seen success with her ongoing UK-wide tour, also appearing on the last series of the ever-successful Taskmaster – while Jon is known for his appearances on 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Would I Lie To You? and Have I Got News For You.

A statement released just today reads: “After nine years of marriage, we would like to announce that we have separated,” they each posted on Instagram.

“We have jointly and amicably made the difficult decision to divorce and go our separate ways.

“As our only priority is managing this difficult transition for our daughter, we would ask that our privacy is respected at this sensitive time to protect her well-being.

“We will be making no further comment.”

Their new series of Meet The Richardsons started just this month on Dave, and airs on Monday nights.
