Yorkshire get ready, the biggest party to hit Leeds city centre since lockdown began is coming this August bank holiday! Merrion Street is hosting THE party, to end all parties. You can experience the first-rate celebration with DJ’s, top-class entertainment and great food and drink from some of the best eateries in Leeds.

The cities largest outdoor drinking area will have eight food and drink operators from Merrion Street plus some from Grand Arcade in the ultimate party on the 29th of August. It is definitely one not to miss.
You can expect great cocktails from the likes of Manahatta and Live bar whilst tucking into fried chicken that would put the colonels 11 herbs and spices to shame at Yard & Coop. Everyone’s favourite street food restaurant Zaap Thai will be serving up authentic grub whilst Mean Eyed Cat, Verve and Roxy Ball Room will all be helping you party the bank holiday away.

The huge outdoor seating area will be providing a party like no other. Grand Arcade is also getting in on the action with rock bar Santiago, Tailors Speakeasy, Casa Columbiana, Domino Club and Better Days will be providing cocktails, tunes and good vibes to keep you partying long into the night.
Speaking about this incredible event, CEO of Roxy Leisure, Matthew Jones, says: “This is the first time in two years that the bars on Merrion Street have been able to open over the August bank holiday so we all decided to come together to make this one really stand out. Each bar is running their own promos and activities throughout the day and we’ve opened up the barriers so visitors can flow freely from bar to bar, experiencing everything they have to offer, whilst still remaining safe.

It’s going to be a real celebration of the staff who have worked hard to bring the street festival to life, as well as a “thank you” to loyal guests who have stood by us and are helping us get back to where we were pre-pandemic. Leeds truly is one of the best cities in England and, whilst we can’t control the weather, we can guarantee everyone will have a great time this bank holiday.”
