A new Yorkshire series has been launched on Channel 5. Our Great Yorkshire Life aired last night and viewers got the chance to meet the Jenkinson family, who are fishermen, off the Scarborough Coast.
Narrated by Emmerdale actor Dean Andrews, the show followed Will Jenkinson as he fished off the coast in the Noth Sea for crab and lobster.
The show will feature a host of Yorkshire folk against the beautiful backdrop of villages, towns, cities and countryside in God’s Own COuntry – Some known and some unknown.
Regular viewers of The Yorkshire Vet will presenters Peter Wright and Julian Norton as they appear later on in the series. Julian will be heading to Robin Hood’s Bay visiting Yorkshire’s newest vineyard as they harvest their first-ever crop.
Other presenters are On The Farm stars Dave and Rob Nicholson from Cannon Hall Farm and former Calendar presenter Christa Ackroyd who will be visiting famous spots in Yorkshire and highlighting their amazing events.
Other points of interest in Yorkshire will be visited such as UNESCO World Heritage Site Saltaire, the Keighley and Worth Valley heritage Railway and other beautiful places.
Narrator Dean Andrews said: “I love Yorkshire, I’ve been lucky enough to live and work here and I think people love the people and the beautiful scenery.”
