‘Our Yorkshire Farm’ Star Reuben Owen Rumoured To Join BBC’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’

Reuben Owen, who rose to fame alongside his mother Amanda, father Clive, and eight siblings on the Channel 5 show Our Yorkshire Farm in 2018, is rumoured to be joining ‘Strictly Come Dancing’. The series captured hearts as it followed the Owen family’s adventures on their sprawling 2000-acre farm, Ravenseat. However, fans were left devastated when Channel 5 dropped the show in 2022.

Despite these setbacks, Reuben’s career has been thriving. He recently landed his own Channel 5 show titled Reuben: A Life in the Dales, which premiered last month. The show documents Reuben, his ex-girlfriend Sarah, and close friend Tommy as they navigate various adventures across Yorkshire’s farmland.

Now, there are whispers that the young farmer may thang up his tools for a while and don the sequins for Strictly Come Dancing. Bonus CodeBets provided exclusive odds, making Reuben a 25/1 shot to twirl his way onto the BBC show, reports the Daily Star.

Last month, it was announced that Reuben Owen was an early frontrunner for this year’s ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here,’ with odds of 5/1 to appear on the show. Having grown up on a farm in the Yorkshire Dales, it’s likely Reuben wouldn’t have a problem handling any of the creepy crawlies Ant and Dec might throw at him.

Betfred’s Kayley Cornelius said, “Following the successful launch of his new Channel 5 series ‘Life in the Yorkshire Dales,’ Reuben Owens’ next career venture could see him gearing up to spend even more time in the great outdoors.

“Leaving life in the British countryside behind for the Australian outback, Betfred currently have Reuben priced at 5/1 to partake in this year’s series of ‘I’m A Celebrity,’ with odds expected to grow in his favour as the young farmer continues to rack up a strong following of loyal supporters online.”
