Our Yorkshire Farm’s Amanda Owen Is Releasing A New Memoir-Recipe Book Inspired By The Seasons

‘Our Yorkshire Farm’ Shepherdess Amanda Owen is releasing a new book sharing experiences of funny and charming stories from her time on Ravenseat Farm throughout the year. From lambing and shearing to haymaking and feeding the flock in midwinter, Amanda takes us through the life of a Yorkshire Shepherdess.

The mother of nine children brings her life to life with 200 photographs, taken by Amanda herself. The book will also include a range of recipes and stories that showcase life on the 2,000-acre farm in the Yorkshire Dales.

Her new book takes us month by month through the age-old cycle of farming and highlights some of the challenges of life up in the Dales on Ravenseat Farm.

The photographs in her new book ‘Celebrating the Seasons’ showcase the charming Swaldedale region of the Yorkshire Dales. Beautiful sweeping moors with rare wildflowers and the wildlife in the area have been brought to life by Amanda as she lives in tune with nature.

Her recipes follow the seasons as Amanda tries to use ingredients ripe each time of year to feed her hungry family. You can expect such recipes as wild garlic lamb with Hasselback potatoes, rhubarb and custard crumble and the traditional Yorkshire curd tart.

Fans that like to follow the Yorkshire Shepherdess’ simple lifestyle will fall in love with this new inspirational book that shows a simpler side to life that is slowly being forgotten. And, as people move into the countryside from big city life, it’s a great insight into countryside living.

Amanda has written four Sunday Times Bestselling books, and we imagine this will make a decent fifth. Her new book is set for release in late October.
