After securing his mother a bungalow, Peter Kay seemed content not to tour, but now it seems that the mother wants new carpets so the UK’s best-loved comedian is setting out on tour with tickets going on sale this Saturday.
The news comes after he took a step back and cancelled his 100-date tour back in 2017 due to ‘unforeseen family circumstances
That’s right! We can all enjoy Peter’s best catchphrases and classic observational standup across the UK as he goes on tour for the first time since 2011. He’s coming to Leeds and Sheffield on his 2022 to 2023 arena tour.
Peter Kay is playing Leeds First Direct Arena on Friday 20th January and Friday 19th May. He will play Sheffield’s Utilita Arena on Friday 17th February and again on Friday 11th August.

Along with the two Yorkshire dates in 2023, he’ll also be going to Manchester and Birmingham this year, and then next year he’s going to go to Liverpool, Belfast, Newcastle, Birmingham Dublin, Glasgow, Cardiff and Nottingham.
The Bolton Comedian announced the news via adverts I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here 2022 series, which started tonight! We won’t be the only ones who were sent into a frenzy at the fantastic return of the Northern Powerhouse.
In the advert, he can be seen carrying a carpet into a bungalow from a car when a fan recognises him and shouts: “eh, garlic bread”
To which Peter Kay replies: “eh, it’s the future, lad”
The fan then asks when are you going on tour, to which Peter Kay reveals the massive news nonchalantly: “Next Month” stating that tickets go on sale Saturday 12th November.
The Bolton legend has been making more public appearances with his DJ sets and other ways of raising money for charity. It looks like these little tasters of the audience have given Kay an urge to get out on the road again – either that or his mum needs a new kitchen.
Tickets will be available on Saturday here.
