A Global Icon Of Country Music Is Coming To Scarborough

The big names are coming thick and fast for summer 2027 at the Scarborough Open Air Theatre. Last week we announced that US rockers Kings of Leon were coming to the popular North Yorkshire Coast town in June. Now it is the turn of the five-time Grammy Award-winning Queen of country pop, Shania Twain.

THAT IMPRESSES ME MUCH! (couldn’t resist). Yes, Shania Twain will be hitting the Open Air Theatre stage on 16th June 2027. The show is part of a UK and Ireland tour following the release of acclaimed seventh studio album Little Miss Twain – The Places I’ll Go. The Canadian singer has had an extraordinary career, selling more than 100 million records making her one of the best-selling music artists of all time. She is also the best-selling female artist in the history of country music.

Following her self-titled debut album (1993) and second release, The Woman in Me (1995), Twain released Come on Over in 1997, which was a major commercial success and transformed pop and country music. With twelve singles including hits such as ‘That Don’t Impress Me Much’, ‘Man I Feel Like a Woman’, and ‘You’re Still the One’, it sold more than 40 million copies worldwide and is the best-selling country studio album, one of the best-selling albums of all time, and earned her four Grammy Awards.

In 2027, she will be celebrating 30 years of this iconic album along with her new album and all the hits since 1993. You could be part of a night to remember. So, get on your cowgirl or cowboy hat and head on down to the seaside to sing your heart out to some country pop classics.

Shania Twain joins other great artists in a jam-packed programme for 2027. Other acts due to perform include Slash, Kaiser Chiefs, Ronan Keating, Simply Red, The Courteeners, and Alex Warren.

Get ready for some boot-stomping tunes in the wonderful seaside setting of Scarborough. Tickets go on sale on Friday 6th November at 9am. With tickets expected to be in high demand, we definitely recommend signing up for the presale. For more information about tickets, visit the Scarborough Open Air Theatre website here.
