York’s bar scene has just got an update with a new Nashville-inspired offering, The Silver Spur. The historic city is getting a bit of the Wild West right in the city centre in this rootin’ tootin’ offering.
First opening in Wakefield, the new bar and restaurant is offering all things Deep South-themed and opens tomorrow from 5pm (29th May). If it’s like its West Yorkshire partner, it could include cowboy hats, country music, live bands, line dancing, cocktails, craft beers, Americana, and much, much more.
Bringing live country music and more, the new venue is now open on 18 Bridge Street in what was previously Rio Brazilian Steakhouse.

They announced the opening date via social media, writing: “We are ready for Friday, are you?” Enjoy a menu of stone-baked pizzas, ‘proper’ hot dogs, loaded fries, build-your-own grilled cheese and a dessert list to match.
If you enjoy a bit of Dolly Parton, Post Malone, Miley Cyrus, Billy Ray Cyrus, Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson and more, then this might just be up your street. We just hope there is some line dancing and maybe a few Jack Daniel-inspired cocktails.

The director of Silver Spur Saloons Limited, the company that owns The Silver Spur bars, Doug Smith, has previously been licensee for The Gillygate and The Museum Street Tavern on Museum Street.
The Silver Spur seems like an exciting new offering in the historic city.
