If you’re a fan of rich hot chocolate and indulgent sweet treats, then Chocolate Bar in Sheffield is well worth a visit. And, they’re opening a new location in the historic city of York, a stone’s throw from York’s most famous street, the Shambles.
The Chocolate Bar is known for its huge hot chocolates topped with giant blow-torched marshmallows, turning a simple drink into a proper experience. Guests can choose between white, milk and dark chocolate, alongside customisable flavours including chilli, orange and mint for something a little different.
The chocolate used is created by Bullion Chocolate, one of the UK’s few true bean-to-bar chocolate makers. The business specialises in small batch craft chocolate. Alongside its famous drinking chocolate, Chocolate Bar also serves iced coffees, bakes and Bullion chocolate bars, making it an ideal stop for anyone with a sweet tooth.
On our visit to the Sheffield Chocolate Bar venue, we opted for a silky milk chocolate infused with zesty orange and a punchy 70% dark chocolate with a warming hint of chilli. For those who want to push the boat out, you can customise your cup with a range of other infusions, such as a refreshing hit of mint.
The York venue Chocolate Bar by Bullion will open on Thursday, June 6th, in Newgate, but will operate as a takeaway-only site. In Sheffield, visitors can properly settle in and enjoy one of the city’s most indulgent drinks.
