12th Century medieval castle, Chillingham Castle, in Northumberland has been named the most haunted castle in the UK. This is after countless reports of close encounters with spirits from the grave. The title of the most haunted castle was given by the online broker, Mojo Mortgages.
They analysed the number of castle mentions in ‘most haunted’ articles as well as sightings on TripAdvisor. After trawling through the internet, Chillingham can be seen as the most haunted.

It’s not surprising the castle has ghosts, it has its own torture chamber! If you can get passed the scary stories and possible chances of running into a ghost, it is a beautifully decorated place with amazing gardens to walk.
