Tucked away between Harrogate and Ripon in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, you will find the picturesque market town of Pateley Bridge. It is renowned as a foodie’s heaven, especially if you have a sweet tooth. There is one place in particular that stands out as a chocolate lover’s dream: Cocoa Joe’s.
It all started back in 2018, when the team were selling chocolate drinks from a market stall. Their reputation and the quality of their offering meant they moved to their first shop and have been delighting visitors from far and wide ever since. Cocoa Joe’s passion is making hot and cold chocolate drinks so delicious you will never forget the experience. It built such a name for itself that it was selected to feature on Ainsley Harriott’s ITV show Ainsley’s Good Mood Food in 2022.
Dreamy Chocolate Sourced from the Far Corners of the World

The beauty of their drinks is that they are made with solid dark, white, and milk chocolate carefully and ethically sourced from around the world. Locations include:
- Uganda
- Peru
- Papua New Guinea
- Vietnam
- Cameroon
- Venezuela
- Ecuador
Each chocolate has a distinct natural flavour profile, and the expert team of cocoa baristas will guide you through each one to help you decide the perfect one for your preferences and tastes.
There are also plenty of flavourings and toppings to choose from, adding a little extra sweetness. If you are feeling fancy, they also do ‘choctails’, which have included flavours such as Apple Crumble, Lemon Cheesecake, and Banoffee Pie. If you want a bit of a kick, they also do limited-edition boozy flavours; Amaretto, Coffee Liqueur, Spiced Rum, and Whiskey have all been on the menu.
