Only Fools and Horses is a British institution that spans generations, with iconic characters such as Del Boy, Rodney, and Grandad. The musical, written by Paul Whitehouse and Jim Sullivan (son of the show’s creator, John Sullivan), continues the fun and chaos that made the BBC sitcom so beloved for all those years.
Paul Whitehouse, a stalwart of the comedy world, boasts an impressive body of work, including The Fast Show, Happiness, and countless unforgettable characters created with his longtime collaborator Harry Enfield, as well as a string of films. You’d forgive him for slowing down to enjoy life, but it seems he simply loves creating brilliant work—and we love him for it.
Now, the stage show is coming to Yorkshire in 2025, having already enjoyed a successful run in York earlier this year. Originally opening in the West End in 2019, the musical received glowing reviews. It transports audiences back to 1989, capturing life in Peckham with all your favourite supporting characters, including Raquel, Boycie, Marlene, and Cassandra.
