We all love a pint and we all love a beautiful view. Put the two together and you have almost perfection. And two Yorkshire pubs have been praised for the riverside views.
The pubs in question have been named in The Guardian’s list of the UK’s best waterside pubs, with a range of other venues.
One of the two pubs is the Green Dragon Inn in the Yorkshire Dales, which is a stone’s throw from the iconic Hardraw Force waterfall which is the tallest single-fall waterfall in England.

Writing about the pub they said: “An ivy-clad Wensleydale gem, this inn backs on to Hardraw Force – a stunning waterfall with a 100ft drop – the longest in England. Don’t leave without trying their much-loved homemade steak pie, best paired with a pint of Theakston Old PeculiarPeculier ale.”
The other pub is found in Sheffield in the cool district of Kelham Island, Riverside, which is loved by locals and tourists alike.

Praising the pub they said: “Just outside the city centre, with a wide terrace overlooking the River Don. There’s always a good selection of Yorkshire beers as well as Sheffield-made gin, while food has a strong vegan showing, including fried banana blossom and chips.”
We have been to the popular Kelham Island pub and can test to this and say that it is a great pub with fantastic pints and a lovely riverside view from the beer garden – it’s a go-to whenever we visit the Steel City.
We’ll be adding the Green Dragon to our list of Riverside pubs to visit that’s for sure. Why not check out our guide to some of the best pubs with beer gardens in the Yorkshire Dales here.
