Popeyes UK has announced it will open its first East Yorkshire restaurant this month, bringing its iconic Louisiana fried chicken to Hull. The new site will open at 11am on Friday 13 March at Kingswood Retail Park and marks the brand’s eighth UK opening of 2026.
To celebrate, Popeyes is pulling out all the stops with a series of launch-day giveaways. The first four customers queuing on foot and the first four cars in the Popeyes Park & Serve bays will win free Deluxe Chicken Sandwiches for a year. The first 50 people in the queue will receive exclusive Popeyes UK merchandise, while the first 100 customers will get a free Deluxe Chicken Sandwich.
The brand is known for its round-the-block opening-day queues across the UK, with fans in nearby Leeds waiting more than 11 hours ahead of its city centre launch. Anyone keen to get their hands on the giveaways is advised to arrive early.

Once open, customers can dine in or grab takeaway, with menu favourites including the Popeyes Chicken Sandwich, Signature Wraps, Saucin’ Boneless and Hot Wings, and Hand-Spun Shakes.
Popeyes is also introducing its new Kickback Collection, built around its smoky, tangy Kickback Dip, which has already seen more than 19 million millilitres sold since launching in November. The range includes the Kickback Sandwich, featuring the brand’s 100% fresh, Shatter Crunch chicken topped with smoked cheese, pickles and Kickback Sauce in a brioche bun.
There’s also a Kickback Box Meal, which includes the sandwich alongside a choice of tenders, hot wings or boneless pieces, plus fries, a drink and an extra dip.

All Popeyes chicken is marinated for 12 hours in a bold Louisiana seasoning blend before being hand-breaded to create its signature “Shatter Crunch”.
The breakfast menu will be available daily from 8am to 10am, including a £1.99 Breakfast Meal Deal featuring a Chicken Brekkie Roll, Cajun Hash Brown and a drink. The offer is available exclusively through the Popeyes UK app.
Tom Crowley, CEO of Popeyes UK, said: “Bringing the bold flavours of Louisiana to Hull for the first time marks an important milestone for us. We’re looking forward to welcoming the local community to experience our New Orleans hospitality and to celebrate the opening together.”rp Road, Hull, HU7 3DA
