A York pizzeria has been named as one of the top 50 in Europe, and having visited, we aren’t surprised. These guys certainly know their way around dough.
Cresci, a popular pizzeria opened by Armando Imparato and Berardo Caggiano, has been included in the 50 Top Pizza Europa 2026 guide. Celebrating the news, the team posted on social media, saying they were “incredibly proud to have been recognised as an Excellent Pizzeria by 50 Top Pizza Europa 2026.”
They added: “This recognition is a reflection of the hard work, passion and dedication our team puts in every day, both in the kitchen and on the floor. A huge thank you to all of our guests, regulars and supporters who have been part of the journey so far. We wouldn’t be here without you.”
Considered one of the best pizzas in York, Cresci is a highly-rated pizza place that serves amazing Pizza Napoletana. Their homemade pizzas are made with love and look mouth-watering. If you ask a local where to eat, most will be quick to tell you that this spot is the one – and when you’re getting told by enough people, it’s hard to ignore.
The restaurant has a great atmosphere and is great value for money. As well as doing fantastic pizzas, they do a range of great starters and desserts. We can’t wait to enjoy a few slices of pizza with lots of wine and beer.
Located in the centre of York, Cresci makes fantastic Neapolitan pizzas and is the only pizzeria from Yorkshire named in the list.
