The Guardian has named The Bay Horse in Great Broughton in its top 30 best UK Pubs for Sunday Lunch describing the pub as ‘properly homely, with low, wood-beamed ceilings, rustic furniture, patterned carpets and the alluring waft of the home-cooked roasts’.
Stating that the pub is great for anyone: “”The Bay Horse caters for kids, hikers, bikers and birthdays, and its friendly staff always try their best to squeeze everyone in, though it’s better to book in advance.”

Their traditional Sunday Roast includes seasonal vegetables, mash & roast potatoes, covered in gravy. They also have a range of starts and other options in case you don’t fancy a roast (which is crazy if you’re heading to one of the UK’s best roasts).
