Now autumn is upon us, the trend of pick your own pumpkin patches has been increasing ten fold. And, this unique pumpkin patch in West Yorkshire has been named fourth best in the UK.
This time of year, people have begun to embrace it much more these days. Instead of shying away from the colder months, there are plenty of family days out to be had instead.
And Farmer Copleys, near Pontefract is just that. With a whole host of things to do along with picking your pumpkins Farmer Copleys’ Pumpkin Fest is a proper family day out. So it’s not surprising it was named in fourth place for best pumpkin patches in the UK by research done by OutdoorToys.
They researched things such as entry prices, location, social media popularity and Google search data to reveal the best places to visit this autumn.
It was beaten to the top spot by Doddington Hall in Lincolnshire, Tulleys Farm in West Sussex and Garsons Farm in Surrey.

The Pontefract farm saw an impressive engagement on social media, with 459,500 TikTok hashtag views, 18,500 Instagram hashtags, and a whopping 215,000,000 searches for their patch in the last year, earning them a respectable fourth place in the rankings.

This achievement isn’t surprising considering the patch was crowned “most Instagrammable” last year.
Boasting over 250,000 pumpkins of 44 different varieties, Farmer Copleys’ offers a plethora of choices for even the pickiest pumpkin carvers and decorators.
The much-anticipated Farmer Copleys’ Pumpkin Picking Festival continues until October 31, with an entry fee of £6 per person.
As well as the fantastic festival Farmer Copleys has an amazing farm shop and cafe. The cafe serves up delicious burgers, hanging kebabs and more. The menu is great and there is something for everyone!
The farm shop is HUGE and offers some fantastic local produce ranging from veg to booze, to baked goods and mroe.
