North Yorkshire B&B Toulson Court has found itself headline news this week, as it’s been voted the best bed and breakfast in the entire world in this year’s TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice awards.
Gaining the accolade for a second year running, the welcoming bed and breakfast can be found in Scarborough, where couple James and Angela Rusden have run the accommodation for six years.
Ideally situated near Peasholm Park, the B&B scored highly in TripAdvisor’s awarding system, which considered the quality and quantity of traveller reviews and ratings posted on Tripadvisor throughout 2021.
Toulson Court B&B boasts a 5* ‘Excellent’ rating on the travel review website – the best you can possibly gain – with reviews applauding the couple for their hospitality skills. Endless reviews praise the B&B for being completely ‘spotless’, while others enjoyed the little extras that the Rusdens include in each and every stay – such as plenty of tea, coffees and biscuits and crisp, fresh white towels.
Others raved about the B&B’s homemade breakfast and cakes, with James’ shining reputation as ‘the singing chef’ resulting in repeat stays from happy guests.
The award has left the friendly owners shocked, saying in a post to their loyal followers: ““Oops we did it again”
“We are thrilled to announce that we have [been] given this award by TripAdvisor for the second year running. It’s such an amazing achievement and we would like to thank each and every guest who visited us last year and did us a review.”
The B&B offers fantastic value for money, with prices starting at just £75 per night when booking a two-night stay. Each stay includes a proper British breakfast, complete with Yorkshire Tea and full English breakfasts made fresh with locally-sourced produce.
