It’s the first step to freedom today as day trips to beauty spots, beaches and outdoor attractions are allowed once more. Yorkshire folk are now allowed to go to the beach, national parks, and outdoor places of interest under new lockdown measures the Evening Standard has confirmed with the government.

Other things to return are lidos, amateur outdoor sports, cycling and more are allowed to go ahead. And, as if it was planned, a wonderful heatwave is set to hit Yorkshire over the next few days, enabling us to get some much-needed vitamin D in our systems.
Nigel Huddleston, the sports minister, think about their risk of infection and buy food and petrol locally before setting off to see family and friends.

He said, “We are appealing to people to be sensible, for the sake of their health and the health of everyone else.”
There is a sense of joy throughout England today as people start to find hope in being able to see friends and family in outdoor spaces. Two households or a group of up to six people from several households are now allowed to socialise outdoors and even picnic.

We’ll be heading for the beach for sure. We can’t wait to meet up with our family after a long winter lockdown.
If you’re thinking of jetting off to the beach with your family, why not head to some of the top beaches in Yorkshire as voted on by the public. Four of Yorkshire’s top beaches made the top 20 list and you can check it out in the link below.
