There’s nothing like a bus journey. Something about being able to sit with your music on and let the world fly by is a joy. On top of that you can enjoy a bit of people watching as people pop on and off. And, two Yorkshire bus routes have been named amongst the ten most scenic.
The Guardian has recommended two Yorkshire bus routes in its ‘UK’s most scenic bus routes’ feature and we’ve added them to our list to give them a go. Those countryside routes can be taken for granted, but unlike some road trips, these routes take your through quaint villages and really make you see some hidden gems of the area.
The first on in the list is a North Yorkshire coastal route that takes you from Scarborough to Whitby in North Yorkshire. The Arriva X93/X94 bus journey offers great views of the River Esk along with rolling hills of the North York Moors peppered with bracken and woods along with bronze age burial grounds.

You have stunning views of the ‘wild North Sea’, and stops at the idyllic ol fisherman’s village of Robin Hood’s Bay.
