Next time you are by the seaside and are looking for somewhere for a drink and live music, then you shouldn’t look further than Whitby Brewery. You will find it located next to the famous Abbey in a stunning converted barn. Since opening in 2013, it has become a haven for lovers of quality Yorkshire ale. It is also one of the best music spots in town, so if you love a pint and a good dance, then you have to visit.
An Ale Lover’s Heaven

The brewery has built an excellent reputation for producing some of the finest handcrafted beers our county has produced. You can find their beers in bars, shops, and pubs in Whitby and across North Yorkshire.
In the brewery bar, you can find some cracking cask ales, lagers, and craft beers on offer, including:
- Abbey Blonde
- Whitby Whaler
- Saltwick Nab
- Smuggler’s Gold
- Fossil Fuel
- Whitby Black
- Whitby White.

Oh, it is not just the drinks that are delicious; they also serve incredible stone-baked pizza with flavours including margherita, mushroom, prosciutto, pepperoni, and marinara. If it’s a nice day, you should definitely sit outside in the beer garden. As the brewery is away from the town, it is a relaxing, quieter spot and is in the shadow of Whitby Abbey, making for an incredible view.
