This is something I was born to do. Being paid to eat Sunday Roasts is every Yorkshire person’s dream. Thanks to The Botanist, that dream can now become a reality as they’re looking for someone to fill their brand new role as ‘Pro-tato Tester’.

Known for the Hanging Kebabs, The Botanist is looking for someone who knows what makes a spud special, and what it is that makes a roast worth boasting about. The role is to test out their brand-new Sunday Sharing roast menu to ensure it becomes as iconic as the Hanging Kebabs.
If selected, you will be able to enjoy the ‘family-style’ sharing roast with the choice of four succulent types of meat, Roast Sirloin of Beef with horseradish sauce, Roast Chicken, Pot Roast Lamb Shoulder with mint sauce, Slow Roast Honey Glazed Pork Belly or a vegan wellington.

These meats will be served with a Yorkshire pudding, alongside a sharing board of maple-glazed carrots, signature roast potatoes, minted greens, and jugs of gravy. Yep, we are craving a roast now as well!
If you thought that wasn’t enough, The Botanist have some Sunday side sharers that will have you drooling. Perfect for two to three people, The Botanist’s favourite sides include Shorrocks Lancashire Cauliflower Cheese with parmesan crumb, Creamed Cabbage with smoked bacon, Pork, Sage and Onion Stuffing Balls with sour cherries and Pigs in Blankets in cranberry glaze.

James Scott, Executive Chef, “One thing we’ve definitely missed over the last year is sitting down and sharing a roast with our nearest and dearest. Our latest Botanist roast menu is designed with those moments in mind.
“I’m hoping the Pro-tato Tester can help us ensure our roast is always worth sharing. We actively collect reviews from every plate served through our short end-of-meal survey via our Yumpingo tablets, so this position is a natural extension of how important feedback is for
us in making sure every Roast is worth sharing.”
If chosen you will win £500 on completion of your first tasting, A roast with 6 of your closest family and friends, a roast for 2 every month until, and a business card.
If interested visit The Botanist website here and get applying by the 12th of September.
