York Christmas Market Has Been Named In Best In The UK

York Christmas Market has recently earned recognition as one of the top Christmas markets in the UK, as revealed by recent research.

The International Drivers Association, using current Google search volume as a metric, has placed this festive attraction in the esteemed top 10.

As the enchanting season draws near, now is the perfect moment to start plotting your visit—whether it’s for the delectable food, handcrafted gifts, the mesmerizing spectacle of buildings adorned with twinkling fairy lights, or simply to immerse yourself in the distinctive festive ambiance.

This year’s festivities are set to take over Parliament Street from Thursday 16th November to Friday 22nd December 2023. Transforming it and St Sampson’s Square into a winter wonderland.

Visitors are invited to make magical memories with a stroll through Parliament Square and St Sampson’s Square this winter – which will be lit with twinkling lights and each chalet will be stocked with unique products from stocking fillers to special gifts. The air will once again be filled with the smell of German Bratwurst, and the cobbled streets filled with music and laughter.

Guests will be able to experience all the traditional Christmas foods, at York Christmas Market 2023 from warming mulled wine in the cheery, buzzing atmosphere to mince pies and ginger breadmen. The famous Shambles market will also have plenty of indie shops selling cakes, trinkets and other incredible things.

On the streets, there’ll be tons of international street food up for grabs, from delicious falafel to traditional German sausage, pancakes and so much more.
