Just when you thought the average cuppa couldn’t get anymore diverse, Yorkshire Tea, the nation’s greatest tea manufacturers, have created a brand new brew – that tastes just like jam on toast. We’re aren’t quite sure how we feel about it yet, but one thing we can’t deny is that a good old slice of toast lathered in jam accompanied by a brew is one of the greater things in life.

This new flavour is just one of three brand new flavours from the Harrogate-based tea company, with both decaf bedtime and malty biscuit brew also joining the range. Kate Halloran, Tea Innovation Manager at Yorkshire Tea said, “Toast and Jam is a lip-smacking smattering of toasty, jammy loveliness. Perfect for mornings, it is a strong breakfast blend with all of the loveliness of jam on toast without the crumbs!”
“We wanted to create a tea that will send people into their day with a spring in their step and a smile in their soul. This new brew has been a long time in the making and I absolutely can’t wait for everyone to try it.”

Yorkshire Tea’s new products will be available exclusively in Asda supermarkets from Thursday, 24th September at £2.29 per pack of 40 bags.
And while you’d expect Brits to be pretty pleased with a brand new brew to try, the new flavour is dividing fans on social media – with some even going as far as branding it an “abomination”. Each to their own, I suppose.
