Fancy getting up close and personal with Red Deer and their newborns in their natural habitat? Well, you can at East Yorkshire’s finest country house in the perfect family experience. Located within the Yorkshire Wolds, Sledmere House offers up this unique experience and it’s one not to miss.
This weekend, you can be pulled by a tractor, you can jump on the back in the trailer and enjoy an awe-inspiring ride where you’ll get to see our beautiful herd of Red Deer whilst you’re taken through the grounds and over to the Deer Park, where you’ll see majestic does and be the first to meet their beautiful new calves. Whilst you’re taken around, you’ll be able to learn all about the deer herd, asking questions and chatting with the farmers.
You can see the deer anytime, as the tractors and trailers will be running continuously throughout the day from 10am until 4.30pm and there are no time slots.

After you’ve experienced the Deer Safari, why not take a walk around the fantastic Walled Garden, check out the Rare Breed Farm Park and take your kids on the Adventure Playground. You can then refuel in the on-site café, making for the most perfect family day out.
If this sounds like a bit of you, General Admission plus Deer Safari Adult is £21 and General Admission plus Deer Safari Child is £10.50. If you’re a member, it’s free and there’s no need to book. Just take your membership card along to the ticket office.

Tickets can be purchased online in advance, or bought in person or over the phone at the Ticket Office. Wristbands will need to be collected at the Ticket Office on arrival by all visitors. Although Sledmere house is a dog-friendly site, dogs are not permitted to go on the Deer Safari.
