The humble chocolate orange has taken over the world – it’s official. It’s hard to find a confectionary brand that hasn’t added a chocolate orange version of one of their classic chocolate bars over the past year. Brands such as Starbucks, Costa and Pret have also introduced chocolate orange themed drinks and desserts in their Autumn menus.
But, the original Chocolate Orange will always be Terry’s. If a Terry’s Chocolate Orange was one of my five a day, there’s no way you’d catch a doctor anywhere near me. Hailing from the historic City of York, in North Yorkshire, the chocolate orange has a whole lot of history in this place. So, it’s no surprise to hear that a chocolate orange-themed hotel room has opened in the city centre.
Yep, you heard it right. You can enjoy a chocolate-themed holiday this autumn at the aptly named Clementine’s Townhouse Hotel. Dreams can come true, it seems. And, this is one place that we will be adding to our must-visit list.
As you can imagine, with a chocolate orange themed hotel room, you can expect a range of chocolate cocktails and gifts upon arrival, and their in-house mixologist is sure to not disappoint. They have a range of cocktails you can order, such as Chocolate Orange Daiquiri, After Eight Mojito, and more.
York’s newest 4-star luxury boutique hotel offers chic style and comfort combined art, heavy fabrics, and their love of chocolate orange for their design on top of the delicious desserts and cocktails. In the bedroom, you can enjoy Bridgerton-Esque four-poster beds and jacuzzi baths, perfect for a weekend away with a loved one.
The hotel can be found in the city centre just down the road from the York Art Gallery and is perfectly situated near all historic attractions plus bars and restaurants.
If you’re still feeling like you’d like more chocolate orange fun, then head down to Impossible which is found in the old Terry’s Chocolate Orange HQ. They do great afternoon tea as well as chocolate orange cocktails that will knock your socks off.
