Love Island Is Looking For People From Yorkshire For 2021 Series

I can already hear 50% of you groaning at even the sight of the words ‘Love Island’, but whether you love it or loathe it, it’s not going anywhere anytime soon – and now, applications are open for the upcoming summer series!

Following the cancellation of both 2020 series, producers now have their eyes set on an extended summer 2021 show.

If you’re looking for love and a cheeky holiday, then it’s time to put on your best swimmers and get on those sunbeds in preparation. But, you know what it also means… You’ll probably have to put down the isolation snacks if you want in, because the show is renowned for choosing your typical hot Instagram types who’ve clearly never heard of a doner kebab (pretty boring, if you ask me).

Personally, I’d love to see a bunch of typical Yorkshire folk donning a flat cap and a pint, chatting up the lasses poolside by saying ‘Na then, y’alright Love?’ as opposed to the typical preened and primed bunch, but that’s just me.

The show is looking for “vibrant singles” to audition for the show, which sees a group of singletons quietly fight for the winning cash prize of £50K, while stealing each others partners and gossiping about each other on the terrace.

ITV has stated:

“ITV2 are looking for vibrant singles from across the UK who want to head to the sun, in search of love.

“The chosen cast will spend time in a luxury villa, getting to know one another, but to remain in paradise they must win the hearts of the public and their fellow Islanders who ultimately decide their fate on Love Island.

The summer edition of the show takes place in sunny Mallorca in their now-iconic villa, and usually airs in June.

Applicants must be over the age of 18 and must be available for an eight-week period to film for the show.
