Looking for your next unforgettable meal in Yorkshire? Whether you’re craving authentic wood-fired pizza, slow-cooked artisan pasta, or an elevated coastal roast, the region’s food scene is booming like never before.
From hidden farmsteads to bustling city centers, we’ve rounded up the absolute best new dining spots across Yorkshire that deserve a top spot on your foodie hit list.
Fylingdales Inn
Fylingthorpe/Robin Hood’s Bay
While the pub itself has been around for quite some time, the beloved venue has been transformed. Same owners, but a metamorphosis for the coastal pub. The new era brings a fresh focus on food, with local chef George Husband behind the pass, bringing upmarket pub classics with a contemporary twist. Think pub snacks (but elevated), incredible Sunday roasts and more. Don’t think of this as a pub on the way to Robin Hood’s Bay, it’s the destination.
Merienda
Beverley
Merienda hasn’t reached its final form yet (there’s some really exciting plans in the works for the coming year), but it’s already one of our favourite food destinations in Yorkshire. Run by chef-baker couple Josh and Ileana, expect high-end pastries, bakes and brunch/lunch dishes, combining the pair’s heritage from Yorkshire to Mexico. Their Beef Barbacoa is a firm favourite of ours, alongside their incredible pasta dishes – with the lemon meringue tart to finish. Trust us.
Forbici
Sheffield
Opening earlier this year, Forbici isn’t just another pizzeria to Sheffield’s already thriving selection. The pizza here was recently named one of the best in the world, and given everything they do here is about keeping the pizza at its best (including cutting with scissors to preserve the puffy crusts), it’s easy to see why. Plus, they were after our own hearts with that special Yorkshire Parkin pizza they launched with.
Albertos Farmhouse
Manfield
Opening its doors at this summer, Albertos is a brand new Italian destination at a farm on the edge of North Yorkshire and Darlington – offering rustic dishes in the farm’s former cowshed. The restaurant makes up part of Kip + Nook, so expect the cool factor (as always with those guys!), paired with really, really good food. From deep-flavoured ragus, to freshly made pasta, artisan pizzas and much more. A casual affair with a truly fantastic atmosphere.
Dishoom
Leeds
It’s been a long time coming, but Dishoom finally arrived in Yorkshire this summer, choosing Leeds as their inaugural Yorkshire location. Go for the gorgeously warm decor, stay for the Bombay-inspired dishes with deep, rich flavour. Return for the breakfast naan rolls (a dish that’s become a bit of a cult favourite among the city dwellers lucky enough to call Dishoom their local).
The Boardroom
Beverley
The Boardroom isn’t a sit-down restaurant, per se, but if you’re after great food in East Yorkshire – you’ll want this spot on your list. Having followed chef Louis Byron from his earlier Anti Sauté Sauté Club days, there’s one thing he excels at. Bloody. Good. Beef. Flavour is one of Byron’s triumphs – be it that last lick of salt that catches your lips after taking a bite of your taco, or the perfect seasoned sirloin on your Sunday roast, Byron’s use of flavour is like a science. Order some food, play some darts, stay for some cocktails and tell your mates about your new ‘in-the-know’ spot.
Norma
Hull
Italian food – in particular artisan pasta – has really seen a bit of a renaissance in 2026, and we’re totally here for it. Especially when it’s done this well. Norma offers fresh pasta dishes, just like how Nonna makes it. Hearty, traditional, and in large quantities. The beef ragu is the slow-cooked stuff of dreams, while the fresh and zesty seafood offerings bring a humble wisp of Sicilian trattorias.
