A new affordable coach service that takes you from York to Leeds and Manchester with prices starting from £3.99 has launched today. FlixBus, the travel tech company is a new cheap and cheerful way to cross the Pennines from Yorkshire to Greater Manchester taking you from the historic city of York and other cities.
The new service is a 49-seat coach with mobile device charging charging as well as “free, fast, unlimited wi-fi”. Each passenger is allowed up to two pieces of luggage weighing up to 20kg as well as one carry-on luggage weighing up to 7kg. There is also an option to pay extra for additional luggage.
The new cheap and cheerful coach news comes during National Coach Week (April 8-14) and the service will be provided by FlixBus partner Belle Vue. You can head over to Manchester and enjoy the wonder it has to offer. Mingle with the hipsters in the Northern Quarter – or make your way down Market Street for a spot of shopping.

FlixBus serves company has over 3,000 travel destinations in more than 40 European countries – so you know they’re a trustworthy bunch. The cheap coaches have come at the right time with the country in a cost of living crisis.
Andreas Schorling, managing director of FlixBus UK said: “We’re announcing even more destinations, allowing passengers to enjoy the vibrant cities of the north and connecting people in the North of England through our ever-expanding coach network.”
Last year, FlixBus launched an overnight coast service from Leeds to Amsterdam. Cheaper than a night out, this trip to the Netherlands from the West Yorkshire city cost around £31.98 – and is so much simpler than all the faff of travelling by plane. Leaving once a day from Leeds Kirkgate at 3pm you’ll arrive in Amsterdam at 9:30am the following morning.
