That’s right. The biggest crime drama since The Bill is making a comeback with some extra special episodes according to The Sun newspaper which has reported that the BBC drama is back from an “explosive climax”.
A source has said: “There’s a strong feeling that there was unfinished business”
“There was a very strong feeling, particularly among fans, that there was unfinished business with Line of Duty.”
The whole gang are set to return including Vicky McClure Adrian Dunbar, Martin Compston, Ted Hastings and steve Arnott for a three-episode series.

The source said: “There’s also a theory another, darker puppet-master is at work… The fact that they’re looking at taking the unusual step of making three episodes rather than the usual six or seven is a reflection of just how special this is for the show.”
The show ran for six series and Jed Mecurio never ruled out a return. Stars have been believed to be dropping hints for the show’s return with Vicky McClure saying on Tuesday: “I speak to the lads all the time and we’d all love to, we’re all game.
Telling Good Morning: “I think it’s just a case of now . . . Martin, I think he’s in about nine shows or something. He’s busy, so I’m sure we’ll get there.”
