Here at The Yorkshireman, we’ve battened down the hatches already and are ready for a cosy Christmas inside. But one thing we’ll need our fix of? The beautiful Yorkshire countryside.
Gracing our television screens all December long, we’ve put together the ultimate guide of Yorkshire Christmas films and TV shows to enjoy this festive season – from life on the farm, to our favourite Yorkshire dramas.
A Very Yorkshire Christmas

A Very Yorkshire Christmas is definitely a guilty pleasure in this house, following American Opera singer Jessica (Rachel Shenton), who accidentally ends up in Knaresborough after missing her flight and falling asleep on a train.
There, she discovers a whole new world she never knew she could fit into. But is love on the cards? We won’t spoil it for you, but if you’re a fan of All Creatures, you’ll love this.

All Creatures Great & Small Christmas Special

Channel 5’s hit remake of All Creatures Great and Small is back for another Christmas special, picking up the story where it left off and following as James and co. enjoy a Christmas in the Dales.
Whether it’ll be a wholesome one remains a mystery, particularly as the prospect of war becomes a dark reality for both James and Tristan.

Father Christmas Is Back

Starring Liz Hurley and Kelsey Grammer, Father Christmas Is Back follows four sisters – who’ve all come together for the first time in a while in a stunning Yorkshire mansion.
Expect plenty of drama, comedy and sights of Birdsall House and Howden. This one’s definitely pretty cheesy, but if you’re stuck for something to watch, it’ll certainly do.

Christmas On The Farm

Channel 5 will return to Cannon Hall Farm this Christmas, with a special episode of This Week on the Farm with Helen Skelton and Jules Hudson.
Celebrate the festive season in true Yorkshire style, as the pair show what life is like on the farm in South Yorkshire.
In addition to taking care of the many animals that reside on the farm, Helen and Jules will also taste an array of festive grub, which is sure to inspire us during Christmas week.
