February is a funny one as you might not associate it with picturesque flower walks. But, as all the rest of nature sleeps the delicate snowdrops start to rear their head showing us signs that Spring is on its way. And, whilst the weather may be a little cold, these white flowers make for the perfect backdrop for a woodland walk. Whilst there are a range of fantastic snowdrop walks in Yorkshire, one just beats the rest for us.

Valentine’s Day may have been and gone, but love is the month of February, and you and your significant other can see the carpet of white blooms while you’re out on a romantic walk. One walk, in particular, is that’s an extra special snowdrop walk at Burton Agnes in East Yorkshire on the way to the coast. It offers to opportunity to enjoy the first sign of Spring with the stunning architecture of a Grade I listed Elizabethan stately home.

Visitors to the East Yorkshire stately home located in the village of Burton Agnes will be able to follow the woodland walk on a designated marked-out path that highlights the delicate snowdrops featuring thousands of flowers, which is said to represent renewal and hope.

After you’ve enjoyed exploring the wooded walk you can peruse the range of flowers that are on offer to buy before enjoying a coffee and some cake at the on-site cafe. It even has a lovely gift shop where you can have a wander around making it the perfect day out for families or those couples wanting to extend the month of love.

If you want to continue the romance, there is a lovely pub just a short drive away the St Quintin’s Arms in Harpham, a cosy village pub with a real fire.
